These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tabletop Generators and the content it provides. By using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

Service description

Tabletop Generators is a free web application that generates names, descriptions, and plot hooks for tabletop roleplaying games (TRPGs), using artificial intelligence. The site requires no account or payment. Results are generated on-demand and may vary each time you click the Generate button.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Tabletop Generators only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe on the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the service. Prohibited behaviour includes:

• Harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person
• Transmitting or distributing malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful material
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the site's systems or data
• Excessively scraping, crawling, or automated access that disrupts service to other users
• Reverse-engineering or attempting to extract the site's proprietary AI models

Generated content license

All text content generated by Tabletop Generators (names, descriptions, backstories, and plot hooks) is provided free of charge. You may:

• Use generated names and descriptions in your campaign
• Use generated content in streams, videos, and campaign documents
• Include generated content in published gaming materials
• Modify or adapt generated content as needed
• Share generated content with other players and GMs

We make no claim of ownership over generated content. However, you agree to use it responsibly and not to misrepresent it as your own original work in a way that is intentionally deceptive.

Artwork

Images served by the art generators are free for your home games, streams, videos, and campaign documents. Some of that artwork is derived from icons by third-party artists (game-icons.net, Creative Commons BY 3.0), and that licence follows the art: if you redistribute or republish the images themselves, keep the attribution with them. See the art credits page for details. If you want to bundle the artwork into a product you sell, contact us first.

Disclaimer of warranties

Tabletop Generators and all generated content are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Generated content will be suitable for your campaign
• Generated content will not conflict with existing published material
• Generated names will be unique across all uses

It is your responsibility to review and vet generated content before using it in your campaign. The site generates suggestions, not guarantees. You assume all risk and responsibility for how you use generated content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tabletop Generators and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this service, including loss of data, revenue, or reputation. This applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Intellectual property

The Tabletop Generators website design, code, and underlying AI systems are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the site or its technology without permission. This restriction does not apply to generated content or to downloadable artwork, which you are free to use as described above; third-party icons in the artwork remain the work of their original artists under their own licence.

Third-party services and advertising

The site is hosted by Vercel and uses AI services from Anthropic to generate content. The Privacy Policy explains what data each third party processes and why.

Tabletop Generators may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or other advertising partners. These partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visit to this and other websites. This is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Refer to the Privacy Policy for details about cookies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to any changes, you should stop using the service.

Termination and access restrictions

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to Tabletop Generators if you violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that harms the service or other users. No refund is applicable since the service is free.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from your use of this service will be resolved in the courts of Sweden, unless a different jurisdiction has mandatory governing authority over you.
